Election Is Like A Game

As we know, elections are political activities undertaken by the community to elect a president or vice-legislative conducted in a democratic country one of which is Indonesia. Besides, the election also like a game or a political race. In this game there is definitely a win or lose.beside there are also procedures to choose. But the actors in election activities often do not comply with the procedures and rules that have been created or better known as the principle of election. Principle - the principle of elections in Indonesia are:

1. Directly: every citizen to vote in the election activities directly2. General: every citizen has qualified the right to vote3. Free: every citizen is free to vote for candidates who wish to be selected according to conscience4. Secret: any candidate or option selected is not known by anyone5. Honestly: an election conducted according to the rules that already exist and give freedom to people to choose according to his will.6. Justice: both participants and voters are treated equally, regardless of each other and without any discrimination. If we talk about justice in an election, if the election we suppose the game is played fairly?starting from 1999 to 2009, the electoral system in Indonesia is still adopted the district (the majority) and the principle of proportionality, last stipulated in Law No. 10 of 2008 concerning the election and the technical rules of the Commission. However, in the 2004 legislative elections and again in the 2009 legislative elections, there was a serious violation of the principle of fair and equitable, especially from the point of view of proportionality and representativeness. source: unpad.academia.edu

electoral system in Indonesia strayed far from proportionality and representativeness in terms of the large number of local elections and the counting method. Therefore, we need a serious effort to fix this. one of them is no need to establish such a commission in some areas of the country. Simply left alone on the Commission, the Commission notes the opening process interested parties fully and use the counting system division.
Political observers found the Andalas University Arisnaldi field verification requirement for all political parties that will follow the 2014 election to create fairness in the development of democracy in the country. "Although it is well known redundant, but it is a fair policy" he said in Padang on Thursday (6/9). Resource: REPUBLIKA.co.id
